A site on the banks of a famous Scottish loch has been acquired to create a holiday park.
The £15 million project will see more than 30 lodges built in the first year of the development.
The Seventy Ninth Group said that it has strengthened its portfolio with the acquisition of the 17.5-acre site in Drumnadrochit on the shores of Loch Ness.

Glasgow Airport sold to Canadian buyers
The owner of Glasgow and Aberdeen airports were to a Canadian investment company in a deal valued at £1.53 billion.
AGS Airports, which also owns the flight hub at Southampton, has been owned by the Ferrovial and Macquarie consortium since 2014. The new owner of AGS, AviAlliance, says the airports are well-positioned for future growth with the expansion of route networks and air connectivity.
Founded in 1997 and acquired by PSP Investments in 2013, the AviAlliance portfolio of four airports collectively served 73 million passengers in 2023, an increase of more than 20% compared to 2022.

Family-owned distillery launches new ‘dining destination’
A family-owned Scottish distillery has hailed the opening of a new “dining destination” amid an expansion push.
Led by husband-and-wife team Stuart and Adelle Brown, the distillery’s expansion includes new fermentation tanks and mash tuns, with plans to collaborate with local farmers to source key ingredients for its distinct whisky.
Deerness Distillery, in Orkney, has opened its Dashing Deer Kitchen & Bar, which "celebrates the island’s rich food culture while supporting the distillery's ambitions as the island’s newest whisky distiller".

The site is currently a bustle of activity with a new clubhouse under construction and other major expansion plans. At the same time, members and guests come for around the globe to play the Championship and Struie courses.
Founded in 1877, with the Royal title bestowed in 1906, the club will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2027 and will host the Curtis Cup the following year. Here, general manager Neil Hampton shares all about the considerable developments at Royal Dornoch.
