A new dive bar and grassroots music venue is set to open in Glasgow city centre this month.
The Lazurri Group, known for city venues including Tabac and The Devil of Brooklyn, has announced plans to launch Lucky Strike at the Mitchell Street unit formerly home to August House.
Inspired by American-style rock and indie dive bars, the new venue is headed up by executive chef Stevie Holt with a menu that will 'transport Glasgow diners to the streets of New York City'.
This will include the likes of smash burgers, loaded fries, and hot dogs.
Elsewhere, there will be up to 12 beer taps behind the bar and a cocktail list with classics available from £7.
"The menu is very American and rocker-inspired," Holt said.
"We set out to create the New York dive bar of our dreams.
"Hopefully, we’ve elevated the concept. "

Live bands will play each weekend at the event space downstairs at Lucky Strike, providing Glasgow’s best local talent with a chance to perform.
The bar will also showcase ‘Sirens’, a piece of art created by street artist Conzo, depicting mermaid artwork in acrylic and gouache, which was previously housed in the Fat Lobster restaurant on Hope Street.
Euan Barker, general manager at Lucky Strike, said: "Lucky’s is the style of place that has always drawn me; and my experience in the industry so far, running TABAC, and before that The Palais, has all been setting me up for an experience like this.
"For someone who has worked in, and has very close ties to the Glasgow music scene in particular, I’m ecstatic to take on this challenge.
“With the amalgamation of beer, bourbon and good old-fashioned American Diner scran hand-in-hand with the draw of live music and fun events in a dive-style bar; it’s a recipe for success.
“The scene here in Glasgow for live music is almost unparalleled on a national level, and the thought of being able to create a stamp on that stage is something that fills me with both elation and anticipation.”

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
