Emergency services have been called to the scene of a incident that left a child injured at Giffnock Primary School.

The situation unfolded this afternoon with police describing it as a 'medical incident' and the council have confirmed that emergency services were on the scene, with support being offered to the school in the aftermath. 

An East Renfrewshire Council spokesperson said: “A child was injured at Giffnock Primary this afternoon and emergency services were called.

"Following this incident, the council will continue to work closely with the school to provide necessary support.”
