Independent Scottish accountancy firm Wbg has opened a new office in Prestwick to “offer support to the local business community through the provision of expert business advice”.

The new office, at 104 Main Street, is serviced by a “dedicated senior team”, which includes business advisory director, Andrew Flinn.

The accountancy firm said: “The team will be supported by the Wbg partner group who are looking forward to having an increased presence in the area.”

Donald McKinnon, chief operating office of Wbg, said: “Our Prestwick office may be new, but we’ve hit the ground running with an established, fully functioning, team based in Ayrshire supporting existing and new clients of all sizes with a range of business services advice, supported by colleagues in our Glasgow office with complementary services such as audit, advisory, tax, and insolvency (corporate and personal).”

Wbg noted the opening of the Prestwick office follows its recent move to join Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce and its offering of research and development tax advice to member firms as well as access to its “financial wellbeing programme aimed at employees of member firms”.
