Robbie Williams will perform at Scottish Gas Murrayfield next summer as part of his new world tour which he describes as his ‘boldest yet’.

The former Take That singer has announced dates across the UK, Ireland and the rest of Europe and it will open in Edinburgh on Saturday, May 31.

The 50-year-old has also promised new music as well as songs from the movie ‘Better Man’, the biopic which will be released in December.

He’s the latest big name to announce a gig at the venue following on from Billy Joel, who will perform in June while Oasis will bring their reunion tour to the Scottish capital for three nights in August.

His gig in Edinburgh will be followed by a performance at the Emirates Stadium in London as well Co-op Live in Manchester before heading to Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain and many more.

Rag ‘n’ Bone man will support Williams on the tour and tickets for the Murrayfield gig will go on sale on Friday, November 15 at 10am.

Speaking about the tour, the singer said: “This tour is going to be my boldest yet - I can’t wait to see you next year. There will be songs from the movie ‘Better Man’, and some new music too…but more on that soon.”
