A hotel named after a reputedly haunted Scottish castle has been put on the market.

The hotel has a “popular destination bar and restaurant”, seven en-suite letting rooms, a conservatory, function room and beer garden.

Cornerstone Business Agents said the Goblin Ha’ Hotel in Gifford, East Lothian, is “hugely popular”.

It is named after part of the nearby original Yester Castle ruin, known as the Hobgoblin Hall, which was said to have been built using “magic” by a wizard and hobgoblins, and which featured in Sir Walter Scott’s Marmion.
