Police are appealing for information after a 16-year-old was left seriously injured after being struck by a car in Rutherglen.
A 58-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence but then released pending further enquiring.
Now, road policing officers are asking for help solving the situation, which happened on Rutherglen’s Main Street around 4.10pm on Tuesday, November 5.
The collision involved a black Mercedes Vito taxi and the 16-year-old male pedestrian, who was taken to hospital for treatment for his serious injuries.
The road was closed until around 8.15pm to allow for an investigation at the scene.

Sergeant Gemma Blackadder, Road Policing Motherwell said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we would urge anyone with information which could help to get in touch.
“We would also be keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage from the area to let us know.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2428 of 5 November, 2024.”
