A popular Scottish crisps brand has unveiled a range of festive flavours.

Taylors Snacks, which is owned by the fourth-generation Taylor farming family of Perthshire, has released four brand-new products and revived its toasted marshmallow popcorn as the retail trade begins to gear up for Christmas.

The seasonal range are on sale in garden centres across the UK now, including Dobbies Garden Centres, to be followed by supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s and the Co-op early soon. The crisps will also be available to buy online.

Taylors’ festive range includes Boxing Day Curry straight cut crisps plus newcomers Amaretto & Orange toffee coated popcorn, Hot Honey Pigs in Blankets and Brie, Bubbly & Orange straight cut and Spicy Prawn Cocktail ridge cut crisps.

The company is also launching special edition 500g packs of its Pigs in Blankets flavour in Costco stores around the UK.

James Taylor, managing director of Taylors Snacks said: “Our product development team have been hard at work inventing delicious and surprising flavour combinations for our 2024 ‘Crispmas’, and we couldn’t be more pleased to partner with Dobbies, a Scottish company like ourselves, to bring our new festive flavours to consumers across the UK.

“Last year our seasonal range was a huge success, so we’re bringing back our bestsellers – and some innovative new flavours to tantalise your tastebuds.”

Taylor’ crisps were formerly sold under the Mackie’s brand, through a joint venture between the Taylor and Mackie families. The Mackie’s at Taypack venture, which was established in 2009, was brought to a close in April last year, when the Taylors bought out the Mackie family's shares in the venture.

Since then, the crisps have been rebranded with new packaging as Taylors and secured a breakthrough deal with Aldi, the first UK-wide listing for the brand.

The company employs 150 people and said it is preparing for further growth in response to “significant” retail and customer demand.
