Thorntons has renewed its deal to provide legal services to City of Glasgow College.

The Dundee-based firm has secured a new three-year deal to act as legal adviser and data protection officer (DPO) for the institution.

It comes as Thorntons, which is more than 150 years old, continues to build its presence in Glasgow, further to the opening of its first permanent office in the city in early 2023.

The firm, led by managing partner Lesley Larg (pictured), has been providing legal advice to the college since 2016, expanding its role with DPO services in 2021. Under the new contract, Thorntons said it will support the college with its property and development investment ambitions, noting that strategic real estate management is key to attracting students and staff.
