Pinsent Masons has hired an Edinburgh-based partner with an “excellent reputation”.

The international law firm has added Walter Clark, a mergers and acquisitions lawyer, to its UK financial services corporate team. Mr Clark focuses primarily on deals in the financial services sector, particularly for clients with a strong presence in Scotland. He joins from Scottish law firm Burness Paull, where he was a partner in the M&A team and headed the governance and company secretarial team. Mr Clark had been with Burness since joining as a trainee in 2000.
