Sam Fender has announced his first UK tour in over two years, including a date at the Hydro in Glasgow.

The Newcastle singer-songwriter headlined TRNSMT in 2023 but has not toured the country the spring of 2022 in support of his second album Seventeen Going Under.

With his third LP soon to be announced, Fender will hit the road in December for a string of dates including at the Hydro in Glasgow on December 16.

It has been announced that £1 from every ticket sold for the UK dates will be donated to the Music Venue Trust in support of grassroots venues.

Support will come from Wunderhorse, with tickets on sale on October 25.

Fans who pre-order Fender's soon-to-be announced third album will get pre-sale access on Tuesday, October 22.

The 30-year-old released his debut album Hypersonic Missiles in 2019, with the album going straight to number one.

Fender grew up partly in the Scottish Borders, with songs such as 'The Borders' and 'Angel In Lothian' evoking what he calls his secondary home.

Second album Seventeen Going Under was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2022 having been named album of the year for 2021 by the NME as well as being named on the year-end lists of the Guardian and the Independent.
