A central belt services provider has expanded its customer base in the east of Scotland following the consolidation of its operations four years ago.

Document Data Group has acquired the assets of Fife-based Hire Tech, which specialises in printers and copiers, adding approximately 100 customers to the DDG portfolio and taking annual turnover to nearly £5 million. The business has been acquired from managing director Brian Hamilton, who has 40 years' experience in the industry and will continue in a senior role with the enlarged business.

Originally established in 2007, DDG now has 35 members of staff and has been steadily increasing sales since the consolidation of its operations a move into new headquarters at Strathclyde Business Park in 2020.
