Police are appealing for information following a serious crash on Cumberland Street in Glasgow on Tuesday.

The incident happened around 3pm and involved a white MG HS car and a four-year-old girl.

Emergency services attended and the child was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children where her condition is described as critical.

The driver of the car, a 57-year-old man, was not injured.

Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “Our thoughts are with everyone involved and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“We are asking anyone with information, including dash-cam footage or private CCTV, to get in touch if they can assist with our investigation.”
