Two children are among the four people from Glasgow who have been killed in a fatal collision on the M6 in England yesterday.

The collision involved a Skoda and a Toyota and happened at 4.04pm on Tuesday, October 15. Five people in total were killed with four of them from Glasgow.

Cumbria Police are now appealing for witnesses after confirming a man, a woman and two children from Glasgow were pronounced dead at the scene.

They were travelling in the Toyota when it was involved in the incident just past Tebay Services on the M6 Northbound.

A third child who was in the Toyota was taken to Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle with serious injuries, while the driver of the Skoda – a man from Cambridgeshire – was also confirmed as dead at the scene.

The road fully reopened in the early hours of the morning and specially trained officers are supporting the families involved.
