A former tourist information centre on a Scottish island, and a church and churchyard in Aberdeenshire are among 24 lots of commercial properties and development land going up for auction this month.

Noting the opportunity to buy the former tourist information centre at Bowmore on Islay at its live-streamed auction on October 17, Shepherd Chartered Surveyors declared: “The island is renowned for its whisky heritage, having nine distilleries.”

Shepherd noted it is, acting on behalf of Forestry Land Scotland, offering two separate sites for sale, one at Fearnoch in Argyll and the other being St Bride’s Church and Churchyard at Alford in Aberdeenshire.

Steve Barnett, managing partner at Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, said: “Auctions offer the ability to sell all types of land and commercial property through our expansive network while providing transparency and simplicity of the process.

“We anticipate interest to not only emerge from within the local and national market but bidders to emerge from outwith the UK given our far-reaching marketing campaigns.”

All properties are open to remote bidding online, on the phone and by proxy, Shepherd noted.
