More than 100 new homes are to be built in Glasgow’s west end after plans were approved by Glasgow City Council .

The new Build-to-Rent (BTR) development will see the creation of 113 one and two-bedroom apartments, with Mac Mic Group leading the project.

The apartments will be set across a pair of five to seven-storey buildings and will be located at the site of the former job centre on Herschell Street in Anniesland.

The development, which is costing around £26 million will include amenity and co-working spaces, roof terraces, private landscaped courtyards, communal gardens, private balconies, gym, car changing spaces, car club spaces and secure cycle parking.

The private rentals will all be fully furnished and professionally managed, bosses at Mac Mic Group said.

The group says it will not only create new ‘high-quality’ homes, but also encourage an improved sense of place and community in the ‘already thriving’ area.

The site’s location is in proximity to Anniesland rail station and other public transport links along Great Western Road and Crow Road.
