A Scottish law firm has appointed a fraud and corruption expert as a new partner in its award-winning crime team.

The company has installed a "recognised expert in white collar crime, with significant experience advising on anti-bribery and tax evasion".

Ramsay Hall joins BTO’s regulatory and criminal defence team as partner.

The firm, with offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Helensburgh, was voted Crime Firm of the Year 2023 and nominated again for 2024.

Mr Hall will work alongside Partners Vikki Watt, Alasdair Gillies and Lindsay MacNeill.

His arrival "further strengthens the team" following the return of Neil Macdonald, associate, and the recruitment of Stacey Fox, solicitor, enhancing the team’s prosecution and inquiry expertise.

The firm said: "Ramsay is a recognised expert in white collar crime, with significant experience advising on anti-bribery and corruption, fraud and tax evasion.

"He regularly advises on corporate criminal liability and guides organisations through investigations. Ramsay is also recognised as an expert in health and safety having advised organisations in relation to high profile serious incidents."
