A road in North Ayrshire is to be closed overnight as part of a £2 million upgrade to the water network in the area.

Restrictions will be in place on Shore Road just before Rothesay Court coming from the ferry terminal on Wednesday October 2 to Thursday October 3.

Work will take place during the day with a two-way traffic light system in place but it will be closed overnight from 11pm on Wednesday, October 2 until 6am on Thursday October 3.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times, and the work is being carried out in conjunction with Amey’s resurfacing programme for the area.

Scottish Water’s alliance partner Caledonia Water Alliance will be carrying out the work with the publicly owned utility advising all necessary steps will be taken to keep disruption to a minimum.
