A landmark traditional pub in Edinburgh has been bought by an established operator in the sector.

Jessie Mays, which was formerly known as the Station Bar and is located on busy Gorgie Road, has been purchased by Martin Proudler, owner of the Brass Monkey bars in Edinburgh city centre and Leith.

Property agent Christie & Co, which conducted the sale, said: “Due to its prime location in Edinburgh’s city centre, the business has benefited from regular passing and local trade. Martin has exciting plans to refurbish and convert the pub into the latest Brass Monkey bar.”
