A holiday park in “the heart of Scotland's whisky country” has been brought to market.
The site has eight cottages, 20 caravan and motorhome locations, and 20 tent pitches.
Agent CCL Property said Parkmore Cottages and Campsite sits in an “idyllic rural location”.
It described the facility as a “stunning holiday cottage and campsite business”, adding it is located 1.5 miles from Dufftown, in Speyside, “Scotland's whisky country”.
The agent said: “This prime location offers easy access to various attractions. Dufftown, the ‘malt whisky capital of the world’, features famous distilleries like Glenfiddich and Balvenie.
“The area provides opportunities for outdoor activities, historical exploration, and scenic railway journeys.”
The agent added: “Parkmore is 16 miles from Elgin, 56 miles from Inverness, and 62 miles from Aberdeen, with their airports and amenities.
“The site serves as an ideal base for exploring Scotland's landscapes, from the Cairngorms National Park to the Moray coast, combining natural beauty with rich cultural heritage.”
Offers in excess of £1.4 million for Parkmore are invited.
Ayrshire in line for 900 jobs boost as subsea cable plant wins backing
Plans to develop a pioneering subsea cable manufacturing plant that would create 900 jobs in Ayrshire have won multi-million pound backing from the UK Government.
XLCC is in line to receive up to around £90 million funding from the UK Infrastructure Bank to support the development of the plant on the site of the former coal terminal at Hunterston.
The plant will produce specialised high voltage cables of the kind that could be used to transport electricity generated by wind farms off Scotland to other parts of the UK.
Homelessness charity opens pop-up shop
A Glasgow-based charity has set up its fashion brand in a new city centre location after being forced to close when its rent tripled.
On a mission to end homelessness, fashion brand The Blankfaces has set up a new pop-up store at the Social Hub on Candleriggs, Glasgow.
The charity faced a major challenge when the rent, bills and rates at its west end store more than tripled, meaning founder Gerard McKenzie Govan had to close the premises earlier this month.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
