A closing date has been set for offers for a former police station in a Scottish town, in what is being hailed as an “exciting opportunity”.

Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, which is conducting the sale of the property on behalf of Police Scotland, said there had been “much interest” in it.

The closing date is Wednesday October 2, at noon.

Offers over £330,000 are being invited for the former police station in Alloa, with Shepherd flagging “a range of possibilities for future use”.

Shepherd said: “This property is centrally positioned in an area that benefits from excellent connectivity via major road networks, including the A907 and A908, which serve as the key routes within the region. The site sits adjacent to the Mars Hill roundabout and the A907, a high-traffic route. Alloa’s train and bus stations are nearby, offering regular services to Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh.”

The ground floor of the building comprises a reception area, office accommodation, staff locker rooms, restrooms, and welfare facilities, while the first floor has additional office space, locker rooms, storage, and more welfare amenities, Shepherd noted. A separate garage building is located at the back of the property.
