A brand new bar and live entertainment venue opening in Glasgow next weekend has promised ‘an experience unlike any other’ in the city.
Berlinkys will open up on Friday, October 4 at 12pm and they say they have booked ‘some of the UK’s best musicians and performers’ as part of their nightly programme of entertainment.
That includes live bands, musicians and aerial artists as well as six weeks of stand-up comedy events headlined by Susie McCabe and hosted by Viv McGee.
Huge investment has been made in the bar, which will be located at 396 Sauchiehall Street, with £2.3 million spent transforming it into a one-of-a-kind venue with two stages, an array of bars and booths, benches and a state of the art sound system.
A new kitchen has also been installed to allow guests the opportunity to eat while at the venue.
Brendan Curran, Operations Manager at Berlinkys, said: “This has been Glasgow’s best kept secret for months, and now we’re thrilled to finally unveil our vision to the world.

“There really is nothing quite like Berlinkys in the city. It’s all about bringing back the good times – it’s the perfect place for people looking for something a little different, whether that’s catching a gig, laughing out loud at a comedy act, or dancing on tables with your friends until 3am.
“It’s a truly unique venue and we’re confident it will offer guests an experience unlike anything else currently on offer in Glasgow.
“We’ve got big plans for Berlinkys and have plenty of exciting events planned from now, right the way through until Christmas.
“We believe we’ve created something really special for the city, and we’re confident this will become a must visit place for anyone visiting Glasgow for years to come.”
The two-storey venue has a range of unique features including a roaring fireplace and plenty of dancing space. It was also feature ‘The Gallery’, which is a private bar and dining space available for exclusive use for corporate events and more intimate gatherings.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
