A hotel, restaurant and bar in a historic Scottish town has been sold.

The owner of the hotel with rising turnover and profit is retiring after 20 years.

The hotel, which has six en-suite rooms, has been bought by an “enthusiastic” new owner, Cornerstone Business Agents said.

The agent also said: “The Elbow Room Is located at northern end of Rosslyn Street close to the A92, offering easy access to Glenrothes and the motorway network.

“Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth can all be accessed within an easy 45 minute drive, while Glasgow is one hour to the west.

“In close vicinity to the hotel there is Fife Ice Area, this is the home of the Fife Flyers, the longest established Ice Hockey team in the UK.

“The Flyers are part of the EIHL (Elite Ice Hockey League) and play all their home games at the rink (less than a two minute walk from the hotel).”

The agent added: “The ice Rink is used all year round for recreation and has a capacity of 3,000. The immediate area around the hotel is also undergoing significant expansion. A £500 million housing development began in 2019 with the building of 1,000 new homes as well as a primary school and associated infrastructure. This development across the road from the business continues at a pace at present.”

The hotel was sold off an asking price of £450,000.
