Police have arrested and charged a man over an alleged assault of a 34-year-old cyclist on Edinburgh on Friday.
Footage of the incident appeared online over the weekend and was widely shared and now the force have confirmed that a 37-year-old has been arrested and charged.
He will appear in front of Edinburgh Sheriff Court later today after the alleged assault, which took place on High School Wynd in the capital late last week.
A short statement from police said: “A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the alleged assault of a 34-year-old male cyclist on High School Wynd, Edinburgh, on Friday, 20 September 2024.
“He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, 23 September 2024."
