Michelle McManus has been hired to host a new BBC Scotland show that is set to ‘serve up big name interviews, features and the latest arts and culture news’.

The Scottish singer will be the new host of ‘The Entertainment Mix’ which launches on 24 October.

The show is set to include celebrity interviews from the world of events, film, music, and entertainment, in addition to features and the latest news from the culture and arts scene.

It will also round up must-see gigs, performances, and live events in a regular ‘what’s on’ segment. The show will include highlights of interviews from BBC Radio Scotland’s music and culture output.

The Entertainment Mix will be a weekly half-hour show airing at 8pm on Thursday evening’s, with McManus presenting big-name interviews and giving audiences behind the scenes access to artists and festivals in Scotland.

The former Pop Idol winner will also be on BBC Radio Scotland four days a week as part of a change to the afternoon schedule.

From Monday 21 October, Afternoons with Michelle McManus will air from 1.30 – 4.00 pm Monday to Thursday, when she’ll continue to treat audiences to a combination of feel-good music and celebrity interviews as well as bringing them all the best cultural events from across the country.
