A Glasgow restaurant institution is to close for six months to undergo renovation works.

Ox and Finch, located in the Kelvingrove area of the city, will be closed from Sunday, October 13 until Spring 2025.

The restaurant, which celebrated its 10th year at 920 Sauchiehall Street earlier this year, welcomes upwards of 300 guests each day.

In a statement, Ox and Finch said: "We're immensely proud of what we've achieved in the past decade and we're thrilled to announce that Ox and Finch will be undergoing a renovation this autumn-winter.

"Ox and Finch will be business-as-usual until the close of Saturday 12th October.

"Any outstanding reservations for the rest of this year have been transferred to Margo, our brand new city centre restaurant, opening soon.

"We're incredibly grateful for the support our valued customers have shown Ox and Finch over the past ten years and we're looking forward to welcoming them back with some exciting updates in 2025."

In July, the team behind Ox and Finch announced plans to launch a new dining experience in Glasgow city centre.

Located on Miller Street, the 138-cover Margo will serve a menu of "snacks and small plates and sharing dishes that highlight curated seasonal produce sourced from the finest growers and makers".

It is due to open on October 22.
