Residents have been evacuated from their homes in Glasgow this evening as Victoria Road remains closed due to an ongoing police incident.
Police have kept the road closed since around 6 pm this evening after a road traffic collision.
Officers responded to the incident after a car struck a building in the Southside area.
Residents from several properties on the street have been evacuated as a precaution, but there has been no reported injuries.
In pictures provided to The Herald, officers can be seen taping off the area of the road that meets Calder Street and diverting crowds away. Two fire appliances were also spotted on the scene.

The full road closure stretches down to Allison Street.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Victoria Road in Glasgow has been closed after a car struck a premises at around 5.50pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024.
“Residents have been evacuated from a number of properties as a precaution.
“There are no reports of any injuries. Emergency services are in attendance.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for further comment.
