Police have arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with the incident
A man has died following a 'disturbance' at block of flats in Ayrshire.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance in the Montgomerie Street area of Ardrossan at about 8:30pm on Tuesday.
A 59-year-old man was discovered in a flat and pronounced dead at the scene.
A 24-year-old woman was also found injured outside the building. She was taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment.
Police said that a 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, BBC News reports.
