A pensioner is in 'serious condition' after being struck by a Jeep in Glasgow.

Police were called to the A77, Eglington Street at around 12.05am on Monday, 2 September following reports of a crash between a car and a male pedestrian.

The 73-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is described as serious.

The 30-year-old male driver of the black Jeep Compass was not injured.

Constable Stuart Tangny said: “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.”
