An upcoming Open Day at IB Continuum School Fairview International will allow a fascinating insight into a unique education model with a global vision at its core

Fairview International School, which is a certified International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum School, is inviting prospective students and their families to an Open Day on Thursday, October 10 from 3.30-6.30pm.

The event will offer an opportunity to explore the school’s campus, meet its dedicated faculty, and discover the exceptional educational experience that Fairview provides.

As Scotland’s first IB Continuum School to offer a seamless and comprehensive IB education for children aged five to 18 through delivery of three IB core programmes – Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP), – the school’s mission is to cultivate inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who are equipped to contribute to a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

By hosting this Open Day, Fairview aims to showcase its vibrant learning environment and the values that make it a leader in international education.

During the Open Day, attendees will have the opportunity to tour Fairview’s state-of-the-art facilities, including the recently upgraded DP Hub, which is specifically designed for students aged 16-18.

The Hub features large, dual-aspect event rooms, an open-plan kitchen-diner, a lounge area, and a separate study space, all of which are intended to promote independent learning and social interaction among senior students.

Visitors will also have the chance to meet the school’s new headteacher, Victoria Gamble, and engage with members of the faculty. Mrs Gamble, who brings a wealth of experience in international education, is eager to introduce prospective families to the Fairview community and discuss how the school’s holistic approach to education prioritises the individual needs of each student.

“We’re looking forward to hosting our first Open Day of the academic year to share what makes Fairview so special,” said Mrs Gamble.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for everyone to experience first-hand the dedication and passion that drive our school’s success. Alongside a tour of our campus, those visiting will gain an insight into the learning and teaching styles that make our school unique, ensuring that each student receives the best possible education.”

The Stirling school is one of six global sister schools located across Southeast Asia, known to be among the world’s best-performing private schools delivering the IB DP.

With a history of outstanding academic performance, the school’s commitment to educational excellence, combined with its global connections and diverse community, offers exceptional learning opportunities to families in central Scotland.

Fairview’s personalised approach to learning, coupled with its small class sizes, supports its students to excel on their individual learning journeys by recognising and nourishing individual strengths and talents, and supporting students to have confidence in their own abilities.

In celebration of its fifth anniversary, Fairview International School, Bridge of Allan, has introduced several initiatives designed to make its world-class education more accessible to families in the region. Earlier this year, the school committed to a three-year tuition fee freeze, which saw the school cap its fees at their current level until 2027.

This initiative is part of the school’s commitment to help ensure continued affordability for its parents and enable families to financially plan for their child’s future education during a time of heightened financial uncertainty.

In addition to the fee freeze, Fairview is offering an exclusive Transition Package* for families who are considering a move to the school, particularly in light of recent school closures across the region.

The Transition Package is designed to ease the process of changing schools and includes the following key benefits:

■ First Quarter Fee Waiver: To help families during the transition period, Fairview is offering a full waiver of tuition fees for the first quarter. This initiative aims to reduce the financial burden on families as they adjust to their new school environment.
■ Free Transport Provision: To further support new families, Fairview will provide complimentary transport to and from school during the first quarter, ensuring a hassle-free commute and a smooth start for students.
■ Complete Uniform Package: As part of the Transition Package, Fairview will provide new students with a complete uniform package, helping them feel at home from their first day.

“Fairview is dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming educational environment,” said Mrs Gamble. “We understand the challenges that families are facing, particularly with the recent school closures, and our Transition Package is designed to make the shift to Fairview as smooth and comfortable as possible. We look forward to welcoming new students into our vibrant and globally-minded community.”

In addition to these special offers, Fairview International School, Bridge of Allan, remains committed to recognising and nurturing talent through its scholarship programme.

Scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition fees are available to students who demonstrate exceptional academic, artistic, or athletic abilities, and are designed to ensure that deserving students have access to Fairview’s outstanding educational programmes, regardless of their financial circumstances.

During the Open Day, prospective families will have the opportunity to learn more about the various scholarship opportunities available and discuss how Fairview supports students in achieving their full potential.
Admissions at Fairview are open all year round and Fairview offers personalised visits and non-committal taster days, allowing students to try an IB Education.
