A car fire in Paisley in the early hours of Wednesday morning is being treated as 'wilful' by Police Scotland as they launched an investigation into the incident.
Officers were called to Fairway Avenue in the town shortly after midnight on Wednesday with the fire service also on the scene. It is the second time this week that there has been a car fire in Paisley, but it's understood that they are not being treated as linked.
Footage of the incident appeared online with flames being spotted coming from a car in the area. It remains unknown whether anyone was harmed but police are treating the fire as deliberate and their enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.40am on Wednesday, 4 September, 2024, we were called to a report of a car on fire in Fairway Avenue, Paisley.
“The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.”
