A spa hotel in Perthshire has been ranked as one of the best in the UK for afternoon tea.
In celebration of 'Afternoon Tea Week' which took place last month, SpaSeekers.com has rounded up their selection of the 10 best spas with afternoon tea packages, with Dunkeld House Hotel being the only Scottish venue to earn a spot.
Of the hotel, the booking agency said: "Set in Perthshire among serene glens, lush forests and rushing rivers, Dunkeld House Hotel is a treat for anyone who wants to get away from it all in the Scottish countryside.
"Their afternoon tea, which features dainty sandwiches, delicate sweet treats and an array of afternoon tea blends is the perfect way to relax and indulge in a slice of luxury."
In December last year, The Herald reported that Dunkeld House Hotel had been relaunched as the eighth Scottish property in the Crerar Hotels portfolio following a £800,000 refurbishment project.
The 100-bed four-star, luxury country house hotel set within a 280-acre estate of natural woodlands on the banks of the River Tay, offers guests all the decadence and period features of a country house but with modern-day amenities.
Dunkled House Hotel’s website states: “The hotel is steeped in history and was originally built as the country retreat of the 7th Duke of Atholl.
"Today it boasts one of Scotland’s most enviable hotel settings and offers guests all the decadence and period features of a country house hotel with the modern-day amenities and luxuries you’ve come to expect of a four-star Scottish accommodation provider."

Established in 1989, SpaSeekers is the longest-running agency of its kind, aiming to 'match the right spas with their customers' needs'.
Also included on their top 10 Afternoon Tea list was Ringwood Hall in Derbyshire, Norton Park in Hampshire and Cottons Hotel in Cheshire.
