he met his second victim, also 16, on social media and entered into a short relationship with her in June 2022.

He raped the 16-year-old at an address in Glasgow before sexually assaulting her in a wooded area.

The same victim was also repeatedly struck on the head during consensual intercourse with Brown.

Later that month he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl who he had met up with in Edinburgh city centre.

On December 17, Brown sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl in a field in the capital after meeting her on Snapchat.

He was sentenced to seven years in custody at the High Court in Edinburgh, with a further three-year extension, as well as indefinite harassment orders banning him from contacting or attempting to contact his victims.

Scotland’s Procurator Fiscal for High Court Sexual Offending, Katrina Parkes said:  “Sam Brown is a dangerous individual who poses a danger to girls and young women.

“Despite his depraved actions inflicting unimaginable trauma, the victims showed incredibly bravery giving evidence which has ensured he has now been convicted and held accountable.

“We would urge any victim of similar crime not to suffer in silence but to report it.

“You will be listened to and supported as we seek to secure justice using all the tools available to us.”
