Popular New York-style pizza chain Civerinos has revealed plans to give away 2,000 slices of its margherita, pepperoni, and vegan margherita offerings on September 12 at its restaurants at Forrest Road in Edinburgh and Finnieston in Glasgow.

Civerinos flagged the “tight budgets” of students, and its wish to say thanks to them.

Mark De’Mar operations director, said: “Students have been such a huge part of the Civerinos story. This is our way of saying thanks to them for their continued support in Glasgow and Edinburgh. We know students have tight budgets, so we want to help and show we’re willing to give a little in return for everything they give us. We can’t wait to welcome everyone down to Forrest Road and Finnieston Slice on the 12th. But once they’re gone, they’re gone!”

Civerinos declared: “Student diners can grab a delicious slice of pizza as well as a 0% Bellfield lager or Liquid Death water, totally free of charge, from 11am.”

The pizza chain noted: “The first Civerinos slice bar was born after owner Michele Civiera sold his shoe collection to help buy the initial venue. Since then, it has established itself as a pizza-making heavyweight in Scotland’s capital with a string of restaurants already under [its] belt.”
