An investigation has been launched by police after a woman was found injured near a hotel in Aviemore in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police were called around 1.40am on Sunday, August 25 after a 62-year-old woman was found in an area close to hotel staff accommodation blocks within the Aviemore resort. Emergency services attended and she was taken to hospital, but it remains unclear what happened her.

Officers are now looking to discover what happened her and are urging anyone who may have been in the area to come forward with any information they may have.

It’s understood several people were camping in the area while a motorcycle event was also in Aviemore so the town was very busy. Police are currently looking to check CCTV footage in and around the area for any relevant information they may have.
