A number of guns were discovered along with drugs worth £60,000 following a police raid of a property in the west end of Glasgow.

Officers executed a warrant at a property on Harefield Drive on Sunday August 25 at around 8am and recovered 750g of cocaine and 9.7kg of herbal cannabis along with a number of firearms and ammunition.

They arrested a 29-year-old man who has been charged in connection with various offences and was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, August 26.

The incident is being described as ‘a significant recovery’ and police believe it will help disrupt the illegal drugs trade in the country.
