The nominees have been announced for the 2024 Scots Language Awards.

The ceremony will be held in Cumnock, East Ayrshire on Saturday September 14 and Herald columnist Len Pennie is among the nominees for her book Poyums.

Now in its sixth year, more than 50 organisations and individuals are in the running for 12 awards, with voting opening on August 26 and closing on September 8.

The ceremony will be held at Cumnock Town Hall on September 14, in partnership with East Ayrshire Council.
