One of the UK’s top cycling stunt teams is set to perform at a brand-new family festival in Scotland this weekend.

Scottish stunk bike performers, The Clan, will be showcasing their skills to crowds at the first ever 360 Fest in East Lothian on Saturday.

They will be taking to the sky on their two wheels performing extreme jumps, flips, and tricks at the National Museum of Flight. Crowds will also get to enjoy the Museum’s regular attractions including iconic aircraft such as a Red Arrows Hawk and Scotland’s Concorde which is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its arrival at the Museum this year.

The one-day family event is celebrating ‘all things circular’, and is hoping to offer something for everyone while encouraging visitors to take out their bikes for a spin.

Cycling UK will be on-site with e-bikes, cargo bikes, and family-friendly kit to take out, and visitors inspired to take a turn can try a bespoke pump track, courtesy of The Dirt Factory.

Scotland’s Concorde will provide a unique backdrop for the pop-up circus performances from Think Circus.

Families can step into the ring with drop-in circus workshops and try out hula hooping, spinning plates and diabolo juggling. Zorbing, a pop-up planetarium, giant bubbles and circle-themed crafts and activities complete the packed 360 Fest programme.

Steve McLean, General Manager at the National Museum of Flight, said: “We’re excited to launch this brand-new family festival at the National Museum of Flight.

“This event offers lots of hands-on activities and entertainment to encourage families to spin into action and get creative together.

“Combined with the chance to learn about flight and see the magnificent aircraft in our collections up close, 360 Fest offers the perfect day out to round off the summer.”

Since forming in 2008, the Clan stunt team has performed more than a thousand shows. With stunts on big air ramps, the team performs an array of flips, tricks and bike battles to crowds over a series of shows.

As part of the 360 Fest, families can also visit the Museum’s ‘Fantastic Flight’ gallery to discover how aeroplanes fly with interactive displays, and East Fortune’s wartime heritage will also be available to view with photographs, film, personal testimony, and unique objects in the attraction’s Fortunes of War exhibition.

Tickets for the event are available now with prices starting at £13.50 for adults and £10.50 for children between 5-15. Children under five-years-old go free, and the event is on between 11am and 5pm.

Organisers are reminding anyone intending to visit the fun day that tickets are only guaranteed if an advance booking is made, due to the capacity of the event.
