Firearms officers were dispatched to the scene of an incident on the island of Tiree on Sunday morning.
A 44-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the incident on Sunday.
Police had received a report of a disturbance at a property on Tiree in the Inner Hebrides at around 9.40am on August 25.
It is understood officers went to the scene as a precaution to secure the area after the reports were made to Police Scotland.
The man who was arrested and charged is due to appear at Oban Sheriff Court in due course.
