A 45-year-old pedestrian has been killed in a car crash in Glasgow, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to the scene after a report of a crash involving a red Nissan Qashqai and a male pedestrian on Bowfield Drive in the Penilee area of the city at around 3.35am on Thursday morning.
The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment but later died.
The driver of the car was not injured and the road was closed for around nine hours while investigations were carried out.
Police are now appealing for information.

Sergeant Ally Wright said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time.
“Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone with information that could assist to please get in touch.
“I would also urge anyone in the area with dash-cam to check their footage and pass anything of note on to us.”
