A fast-growing Scottish property firm has snapped up an office building with an “imposing granite façade” in Aberdeen.
The SRE Group announced that it has acquired 50 Huntly Street, previously known as Princewall House, in an off-market deal.
Spanning 14,581 square feet across three floors, and benefitting from 30 car parking spaces, 50 Huntly Street was the former home of Xodus Group and offers modern office space behind a grand, traditional granite façade.

The building, which will be refurbished by the SRE Group, is fully DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) accessible and offers suites from 1,500 sq. ft. upwards as well as lift access, showers and cycle storage.
John Grewar, who manages lettings for the Glasgow-based SRE Group, said: “Our acquisition of 50 Huntly Street extends our portfolio of well-located and contemporary workspaces in Aberdeen.
“This building is easily accessed from Union Street with excellent transport links and offers modern office space within a heritage, ‘B’ listed building with an imposing granite façade that represents the city perfectly.
“Aberdeen is a dynamic city with a thriving business sector, and that we have added to our portfolio of well-connected and interesting office developments is a testament to the vibrancy of the city.”

The acquisition comes shortly after The SRE Group announced that it had let office space at 25 Blythswood Square to Isle of Harris Distillers. The deal means that SRE has now fully let the “landmark” building. Isle of Harris said it will use the “iconic address” as the mainland base for its UK commercial and “storytelling” team.
The SRE Group has an extensive portfolio in Glasgow portfolio comprising around 300,000 sq ft of office space, with an additional 150,000 sq ft of industrial and leisure facilities. The private property company also owns 75,000 sq ft of offices in Aberdeen. It plans to expand its interests in both cities over the next 12 to 18 months.
