'Avoid the area': Crash sparks closure of A9 in both directions (Image: NQ Archive)
The A9 has been closed in both directions due to a crash.
The crash, which took place at the junction of the A9 with the B9168 Dornoch, was reported to police around 3:15pm on Friday.
Emergency services are currently in attendance at the scene.
Police Scotland Highlands and Islands took to X to advise drivers to avoid the area where possible.
