One person has died following a fire at a flat in Inverness.
Four fire engines and a height appliance went to the scene in Tomatin Road when the alarm was raised just after 2am on Thursday morning.
A number of residents were evacuated from the property while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Police Scotland said that one person died as a result of the fire.
Investigations into the cause of the blaze are underway.
