Drivers were forced to seek alternative routes due to a bridge closure on Monday evening.
Traffic Scotland took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to advise road users that the Erskine Bridge was closed in both directions due to a police incident.
The alert was issued at around 7.30pm.
Emergency services were called to the scene and motorists were advised by police to make alternative arrangements.
The bridge then reopened to traffic around 9:15pm.
A Police Scotland Renfrewshire statement read: "The Erskine Bridge has reopened in both directions."
