Two houses in Clydebank were targeted with a crossbow over the weekend in what have been described as "mindless" attacks.

A crossbow bolt was fired through the window of a house in Orbison Place between 5pm on Saturday, 18 May, 2024 and 3.10pm on Sunday, 19 May.

A second house in the same street was targeted at 12.45 on May 19, with no-one hurt in either incident.

Detective Sergeant Barry Convery of CID said: “It is fortunate that no one was hurt following this mindless behaviour. The homeowners were extremely shocked and those responsible should consider the impact this has on others.

“We are treating both these incidents as linked.

“We are asking anyone with any information to come forward as soon as possible in order to assist with our ongoing enquiries.”
