A serious collision between a car and a lorry has forced the closure of the A9 in both directions.
Traffic Scotland alerted motorists that the road is closed at Tomich near Invergordon around 10.30am on Tuesday.
Police and ambulance crews are currently at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.30am on Tuesday, 19 December, 2023, we received a report of a crash involving a car and a lorry on the A9 near Invergordon. Emergency services are in attendance. Diversions are in place."
Here are the diversions in place:
Northbound - Turn right onto B817 at Tomich and travel northbound past Saltburn to A9/B817 Junction at Kildary.
Southbound - Turn Left onto B817, travel southbound through Saltburn to A9/B817 Junction at Saltburn, and turn right onto B817.
