The OVO Hydro has issued an important update to fans about the Lewis Capaldi gig taking place tonight after much of the city experienced water supply issues.

The issues were caused when a burst water main affected the water supply to a number of postcodes in the area.

Many were worried that this would force the OVO Hydro in Glasgow to postpone the Lewis Caplid gig taking place tonight at 6:30 pm.

However, OVO Hydro told reporters that the gig would still be going ahead despite the issues, to the relief of thousands of fans.

Scottish Water announced the issue on Twitter, telling locals: "We're investigating loss of water supply in the #G2 #G3 #G4 #G11 #G12 #G21 #G61 area. We'll update you as soon as more info is available. Apologies for any inconvenience caused this evening."

The burst main in Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire saw the evacuation of children from a nursery after the burst pipe caused the road to split as well as local flooding.

With the Lewis Capaldi gig still going ahead, fans will still be able to enjoy the chart-topping star's catalogue of music.

The gig forms part of a UK and World tour taking place in several cities such as Aberdeen where he played to thousands of fans at the city's P&J Live last night.
