Kauai, Edinburgh

Kauai, based on a healthy eating vegan and veggie concept created by Hawaiian surfers decades ago, is located on Forrest Road and is a go-to for those looking for a hit of freshness.

It's the ideal place to grab a healthy breakfast, lunch, or dinner because it's open from 10am-8pm daily. Warm bowls of grains, vegetables, and protein, wraps stuffed with fillings, and superfood smoothies - although I'm all about their bowls of chocolate porridge (with zero added guilt!)

Sprigg's lunch in the city centre is highly recommended. Customisable, fresh, and quick, the healthy bowls are filling, affordable, and flavourful.

With their build-your-own bowls, you can include your favourite ingredients in your super healthy salad, such as Sriracha and Honey Chicken and Soy Chilli bean sprouts Even if you're on a diet, life is too short to avoid carbs, so add of slice of their super delicious focaccia on the side- it's a must have!

Hula, Edinburgh

Hula was the capital's first juice bar, so it's no surprise that locals and tourists alike love it.

With plenty of vitamin C from oranges and carrots and a peppy kick of ginger and sweet apple, their Ginger Jack is ideal for those feeling the effects of a long night. For a serious health boost, try The Popeye, which contains spinach, apple, lemon, and mango.
