How much does Uini Atonio weigh?

The question on everybody's lips - just how big is Uini?

Atonio weighs in at an enormous 152kg – almost 24 stone – and is over 6ft 5 inches tall which, for a prop, is staggering.

The 31-year-old was named the ‘largest forward at the 2015 World Cup’ by the BBC and is comparable only to former England front-row Andrew Sheridan, who came in at 6ft 5in, but weighed in at a relitively paltry 20st for much of his playing career.

Who is Uini Atonio?

Uini is a New-Zealand-born tighthead prop of Samoan heritage.

He qualifies to play for France through residency, playing for La Rochelle.

Uini, which is pronounced Weeny, was born in Timaru, New Zealand, to Samoan parents and was a pupil at the rugby-hotbed of Wesley College, in Auckland.

He represented Samoa at under-20s level and joined La Rochelle in 2011.

In 2014, after completing the required three years’ residency in the country, he qualified to represent France at international level.

He made his debut for Les Bleus in a 40–15 win over Fiji in November 2014 and has gone on to win 40 caps.
