A BUSY Glasgow road is closed following a traffic accident.
Shortly after noon today a two-car collison occured near to the O2 Academy music venue in the south of the city.
Police are on the scene of the incident and roads in the area have been shut to traffic.
Eglinton Street between Cook Street and Wallace Street is currently closed following the road traffic crash.
Cook Street is also closed.
Greater Glasgow Police has issued a statement saying members of the public are advised to avoid the area.
Local diversions are in place.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We received reports of a two-car crash on Eglinton Street in Glasgow around 12.05pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
"Emergency services are in attendance.
"One lane is open on Eglinton Street between Cook Street and Wallace Street and one lane is closed on Cook Street."
